Description
Thick ice has built up on the dock pilings of Boothbay Harbor's west side cold storage building in this January 1918 photograph. The harbor froze over that January, and the fishing schooner at the wharf may have been iced in. Sail maker Lewis Dunton had his sail loft in the second story of the fish storage facility.
