Description
The American Express Company on Washington Street in Sanford was concerned primarily with the handling of freight. One poster in the window advertises a baseball game to take place on Saturday, April 18 (1891 or 1896) at Sportsman's Park in Sanford between Sanford and Fort Preble.
Another poster promotes a game between the Biddefords and Augusta.
Among the deliveries are crates from Chirstian Shore Bottling Co. of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Emerson & Co. of Rochester, New Hampshire, and Arthur R. Caron & Co. of Salmon Falls, New Hampshire.
