Description
This is a postcard of Sugar Loaf Mountain in Dixfield. Sugarloaf Mountain is a landmark for the Town of Dixfield. The area shown here is looking north toward the towns of Carthage and Weld and was known as The Plains of Dixfield. In 2013 there are many more houses and structures and the area is locally known as "the flats."
The writing on the back of the card is from a man to his dear talking about how Christmas was good to them and that he loves them. He was sending this postcard to Massachusetts.
