Description
John Lucas Towle (1914-1995) is shown as a youg lad in his Sunday best sailor suit in Dixfield, ca. 1920. The only son of Charles H. and Alice Towle, John attended Dixfield schools, Ryder College in New Jersey, and in the 1950s assumed ownership of his father's store, Towle's Hardware. Towle's Hardware celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2011 as a family owned business.
