Description
Barker B. Glidden (born 1822) was a 1st Lieutenant in the 14th Regiment Infantry, Company F during the Civil War. He mustered in on December 31, 1861. His regiment first saw action in Louisiana later moving to Virginia and Georgia. The men mustered out on August 28, 1865. His regiment lost 86 men in battle and 332 to disease. Glidden returned home to Presque Isle and passed away in 1897. He was a member of GAR and is interred in Fairmount Cemetery.
