Description
Elise Fellows White made this recording of her violin performance of Henri Vieuxtemps' Polonaise.
Mary Elise Fellows was born in Skowhegan in 1873 and, at age 9, went to Boston to study violin at the Boston Conservatory and later with Franz Kneisel. She also studied in Vienna with Jakob Grun.
In 1898, she married Bruce White of British Columbia. She had this recording made in New York in 1937. White died in 1953.
