Patch Display Board, 2013

Description

In August 2013, the Waldoboro Fire Department celebrated its 175th anniversary with a town wide celebration. , The department received congratulatory letters from fire departments around the country. Many of the letters included a patch for Waldoboro Fire Department's collection. For the celebration parade, three large circular boards, 42" in diameter, were constructed of plywood, stained, and the patches were attached. Hammond Lumber Company, provided a parade float displaying the three boards and a sign that read, "Congratulations Waldoboro Fire Department from across the U.S.A.". The three boards are now displayed on a wall in the department's training room.
