Description
Two Canadian military planes were forced to make an emergency landing at the Norcross wharf on North Twin Lake, due to mechanical difficulties.
Small private float-planes occasionally docked at Norcross to accommodate passengers and to pick up supplies. However, the landing of large aircraft, especially from another country, was very unusual.
Two dates are listed on the photograph, 1939 and 1940. It is unknown which is correct.
