Description
This is a view looking west down Granite Street from Maine Street in Rockland. At the extreme left edge of the image one can see the corner of the granite house belonging to J. Fred Merrill. The next house with the Greek columns in front, on the left (south) side of the street, belonged to Samuel K. Macomber who sold watches and jewelry in his shop on Main Street. In the far distance Granite Street ends at Broadway.
