Description

Isaac Park was a well-known carpenter in the Dixfield area in the 1800s, building this home and many others. He married his second wife Emeline (1806-1878) in 1832 and they had three children--one being Henry W. Park. Henry's writings and correspondence are known as the "The Park Papers" and are the basis for much of the history that is known about Dixfield. The home later became a boarding house and unfortunately burned in 1875.

This beautiful print was a gift to the Dixfield Historical Society by Lawrence A. Park from Presque Isle, Me. Lawrence is the greatgrandson of Isaac and Emeline Park and the grandson of Rev. George Millville Park, Henry's brother.
