Description
Donald J. Collins, Jr. (1922-1985) and Beverly Anne Haley (1923-1984) were married in Portland on Feb. 11, 1944. Both were graduates of Dixfield High School, Class of 1941. Donald was serving in World War II in the Army Air Corps. Beverly completed a secretarial course at Bliss College in Lewiston, and worked at the Stowell-MacGregor mill in Dixfield. Donald was sent to the Philippines and served his country in the New Guinea and Luzon campaigns.
Following the War, Don and Bev made their home on High Street in Dixfield and raised their four children, Donna, Charlotte, Cathy, and Jerry in the High Street neighborhood.
