Frank Broggi's Fruit Store, Sanford Square. This photo was taken in Sanford Square looking down Washington Street. Next to Frank Broggi's store on the corner is the Sanford National Bank followed by the Smith Block. Frank Broggi was born in Milan, Italy February 9, 1851 and died in Sanford March 24, 1909. He was the grandfather of Carl J. Broggi (1909-1956) for which Rt. 111 & Rt. 202 near Sanford are named. Print from a 4" x 6" glass negative
