Description
This view is looking south down Pacific Street in the South End of Rockland. The tall masts of ships being repaired at the Snow Shipyard are visible at the bottom of the hill. The building at the foot of Pacific Street is the store of the Snow Shipyard. The corner of the house visible on the left belongs to Alfred K. Burns, a ships carpenter; and the part of the house near the foreground on the right belongs to Captain I. L. Snow, the son of the founder of the Snow Shipyard and the president of the company from 1886 to 1917.
