Description
This is a view looking southeast from the roof of the Lynde Hotel on the corner of Park and Main Streets. In the foreground is a stone lime kiln and a large lime shed belonging to the Cobb Lime Co. Looking across the Rockland Harbor one sees schooners beside the Five Kilns of the Cobb Lime Co., and the Cobb Wharf projects into the harbor near the center of the image. Beyond the Cobb Wharf, the wharf with a house on it is the Atlantic Wharf on Ingraham's Point. Owls Head is on the horizon.
