Description
This view is looking northeast from the roof of the Lynde Hotel, at the corner of Park and Main Streets in Rockland. It shows the neighborhood of Crockett's Point, with its many houses, sheds, outhouses, and lime kiln sheds. The building in the center is the Frank L. Cummings Carriage Shop. Cummings manufactured carriages in his shop which was attached to the back of the Berry Brothers Stable. Lermond's Cove is in the background with the North End wharves beyond, and Jamesons Point is on the horizon with the Camden Hills in the distance.
