Description
Lucretia Day Sewall (1813-1897), was born in Portland to Ezekiel and Eunice Day. She married Kiah Bayley Sewall, the son of the Rev. Samuel and Abigail Trask Sewall, in May 1836.
The couple, who lived most of their married life in Mobile, Alabama, and returned frequently to Maine, had 10 children. Only three of the children outlived her. Kiah Sewall died in 1865 and Lucretia returned to Portland, where she lived until about 1885, when she went to New Jersey, where she died.
