Description

The steamer Aucocisco at York's Landing on Bailey Island.

Lendall M. York was the first to combine his coal and wood business with a steamboat wharf. Over the years, the wharf was known as Mineral Spring and Old Wharf.

The Aucocisco, built at the Dyer Yard in Ferry Village, South Portland, made her maiden voyage June 21, 1897.
