Description
The home of Wilmer and Virginia McLean in Appomattox Court House, Virginia, was used on April 9, 1865 for the surrender meeting between General Robert E. Lee, Confederate States of America, and Lt. General Ulysses S. Grant, U.S.A.
The house was also used on April 10 for the Surrender Commissioners meeting.
