Description
In responding to his sister's question about General Sherman, W.B. Adams, a musician with the 1st Maine Veteran Volunteer Infantry Regiment in Kearnstown, Virigina, wrote, "he is liked very much here he is a good Fighting Gen but he dont look out for his men as well as a good many Gen'ls."
