William B. Adams description of fight, Virginia, 1865

Description
William B. Adams of Co. B of the 1st Maine Veteran Volunteers wrote to his sister Dora in Maine suggesting he had little to say, but that she might enjoy hearing about "a little fight which occured here yesterday."
He said the Rebels began the fight and took about 2,100 prisoners. By nightfall, all the troops were free and back in their Union quarters.
The Confederacy surrendered formally on April 12, 1865, about two weeks after the "little fight" on March 26, 1865.
