Description
The Portland Day Nursery was a pioneer in Maine child day-care. It was supported in part by the Portland Baby Hygiene and Child Welfare Association. Here, the children ate their noontime meal in the company of a local dog.
A full-page article about the nursery ran in the April 18, 1923 edition of the Portland Evening Express.
