Description
The Portland Day Nursery was a well-known charitable institution with a playground, playrooms, lunches, and sleeping quarters. The Portland Baby Hygiene and Child Welfare Association raised funds to expand and support the nursery.
A full-page article about the nursery ran in the April 18, 1923, edition of the Portland Evening Express. The Portland Day Nursery eventually became Catherine Morrill Day Nursery.
