Description
Phi Mu Sigma was formed in 1929 as the Farmington State Teachers College’s second sorority. Their mascot was a Scottie dog.
They raised funds for Hyde Home in Bath and UNICEF and held an annual Scots Fair. When performing at the fair, the sorority sisters dressed in a uniform of white blouse, knee-high socks and a plaid skirt with matching sash and hat.
The sorority remained active on campus until the mid-1970s.
