Description
Once part of a book or folio, this copy of a "Map of the Northern part of the state of Maine and of the adjacent British Provinces, shewing [sic] that portion of that state to which Great Britain lays claim...reduced from the original map with corrections from the latest surveys by S.L. Dashiell Washington 1830." does not include the hand-colored line annotations as seen on other versions. Additionally, parts of the map are missing or obscured by creases and folds.
This map is part of a larger archive, the Thomas Barclay collection (Coll. 26), related to the drawing of the Northeast boundary between British Canada and the United States.
