Description
This pair of eyeglasses, gold or gold-plated pince-nez style with a leather case, belonged to Dr. Lorenzo Norton of East Baldwin, a physician known for his service during the 1918-1919 Influenza pandemic.
Dr. Lorenzo Norton disappeared in 1920, a case that captured widespread media attention. Renowned for his kindness and dedication to his community, his sudden absence left many unanswered questions. For nine years, his whereabouts remained unknown until he reappeared in a hospital in Upstate New York in 1929, offering little explanation for his disappearance.
