Description
This medical kit, a maroon and tan leather case containing surgical instruments, including five scalpels/knives, two cannula, two flathead screwdrivers, a cannula attachment, two unidentified items, and a small envelope with suturing thread, belonged to Dr. Lorenzo Norton.
Dr. Lorenzo Norton disappeared in 1920, and his case garnered widespread media attention. Known for his kindness and service to the community, particularly during the 1918-1919 Influenza pandemic, his whereabouts remained a mystery for nine years before he was found in a hospital in New York, with little explanation for his disappearance.
