Description
Frank C. Evans, a 1910 Bowdoin College graduate, took this photograph of his camp near Allagash Lake in 1909.
This canoe expedition began at Northeast Carry on the West Branch of the Penobscot River.
Evans canoed through Maine's wilderness areas during his college summer holidays in 1905, 1907 and 1909.
