Description
"Elmhurst" now Hyde School, was completed in 1914 for John S. Hyde, a president of the Bath Iron Works and a former city mayor.
The house was built in Georgian revival style with elaborate interior paneling and a swimming pool in the basement.
John Calvin Stevens of Portland was the architect.
