Description
Although little is known about the early history of Farmington Normal School women’s sports, they apparently had a baseball team in 1897. The handwritten note on the back of the postcard includes the following:
"Is this a good ball team?"
Is it? Well I guess!"
"Did you ever see anything slow that came from the F.N.S."
Pictured are: Lora J. Davies, Elida M. Osier, Mildreth F. Goodwill, Lottie Smith, Edith A. Kalloch, Levina (“Vina”) L. Walker, Carrie B. Stahl, Ora Manter, Helen M King and Marguerite Pierce.
