Description
Mustafa Fuat Kasem in his Biddeford rooms, 1915. The wall calendar tells us it is February 1915; a copy of the Albanian newspaper "Dielli" is displayed on the desk next to the typewriter. A violin hangs in the corner.
After coming to America in 1913, Mustafa Fouad (Fuat) opened a grocery in Biddeford. Later, Kasem moved to the Midwest before settling in New York and changing his name to Henry Kasem.
