Description
Portrait of Mustafa Fouad (Fuat), Albania, circa 1900. After coming to America in 1913, Fouad opened a grocery in Biddeford. Later, he moved to the Midwest before settling in New York and changing his name to Henry Kasem. An untranslated inscription in Ottoman Turkish is visible under the portrait.
