Home Economics cooking class, Farmington, 1916

Description

In 1916, Farmington State Normal School converted a recently purchased house and barn into a purposefully designed space for the Home Economics program.

The barn, known as the "Annex," housed the work spaces for the sewing and cooking classes. In 1916, this cooking class was dressed in their cooking "whites."
