Description
In 1915, the Farmington State Normal School purchased the Leavitt house, which became known as "The Cottage", and served as the base for the household arts program beginning in 1916. Two chambers of the house were combined to create a sewing lab, and the barn was remodeled into two labs; one for cooking and one for cooking and sewing. This is the original cooking lab in the Cottage.
