Description
Students practiced their cooking skills in the Home Economics Laboratory, then served the food to other students and staff in the program. In the 1950s, the Home Ec students were given free vegetables from the garden of Mr. Whittier of Tarbox & Whittier Drug Store, which helped them to stick to their daily food budget of 70 cents per student per day.
