Description
Three men, Philip J. Teele (center) and two crew members are seated near a boiler stack on the deck of the SS Cumberland, a steamship that provided passenger and freight service between Boston, Portland, Lubec, Eastport (Maine), and St. John (New Brunswick). The Cumberland ceased operating after a collision in July 1902. Photographed before July 1902 by John Brooks "Jack" Howard (1875-1971) en route to a hunting and fishing trip to Washington County.
